In accordance with OPLR’s statutory duty to conduct periodic reviews of each regulated occupation in the state of Utah (UCA 13-1b), this report details OPLR’s findings and recommendations regarding the regulation of core behavioral health professionals. OPLR’s selection of behavioral health occupations was approved by the Business and Labor Interim Committee and the Legislative Management Committee in 2022. The research was carried out during the 2023 calendar year.
